Between objects that have been adapted to deal with certain forces can be observed both in the "real world" and in software objects. The term “design patterns” originates from a book published in 1994, Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software. One of the best sources about software design patterns is the “Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software” book by the Gang of Four. The first two are written in Java and the last one in C#. Still, it is the bible of design patterns after all these years. I began myself writing a series of Delphi examples aiming to explain the classic design patterns as defined in "Design Patterns (Elements of reusable Object-Oriented Software)" by the "Gang of Four" (GOF). Miller and Page, in their 2007 introductory book of computational models of social life state: "For example, in OO software design, after many separate efforts, a standardized way for specifying designs known as UML has .. Delphi's implementation of interfaces lacks of either a garbage collector (as C# or Java do (ab)use), or at least a native weak reference support (as with Apple's ARC model). To test this hypothesis, a real world example was sought for each of the 23 Gang of Four Patterns [13]. (Question 10) There two books have been around a while but are still important. The Gang of Four are the four authors of the book, “Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software”. Design Patterns Elements of Reusable Object Oriented Software This book is commonly referred to as the 'Gang of Four' or GOF book. Object-oriented design patterns typically show relationships and interactions between classes or objects, without specifying the final application classes or objects that are involved." . What is Gang of Four in design patterns? This paper presents a real world, non software instance of each design pattern from the book, Design Patterns - Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software [13]. World code, it is more difficult than expected. The GOF wrote a widely publicised and well known book "Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software". I never finished the series for lack of time. Here below is what I call "My design patterns table". The examples follow in sections 2 through 4.
